-Neil Gaiman
I hold a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. I counsel individuals and couples and my enduring love for story has persisted into my work within the therapy room. I am a Prepare/Enrich Certified Counselor, and I love utilizing both Narrative Therapy techniques as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy to help my clients reclaim authorship over their lives. I am an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and am currently supervised by Rob Curwen, LMFT (TN License #762).
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. I worked in the engineering world for 5 years, but a drive to work with people and be of service to others pushed me to re-examine my career. I was then fortunate enough to work as a paraprofessional in a middle school special education classroom and began my classes in graduate school. This process of finding my own story, and recontextualizing what first felt like sidetracks and false starts, has been endlessly useful in helping my clients see how the journey can be winding and twisting before arriving at the destination.
I currently live in Nashville with my wife and son. We enjoy trying new restaurants and reading good books together, and in my spare time I am always working on the craft of writing and playing music.
